( Family Grub Special Starts September 8th)

You’d never believe it unless you saw it for yourself. Phil chose his seat in the center of the dining room at our Carmel Mountain Ranch location. He tied back his hair as the rules were announced to the onlookers. Scott H., a commented on Facebook, “That’s impressive. I was there when they brought it out to him and that thing was gigantic.”

We were all so impressed. He had 30 minutes to complete it along with the cobbler. Just 10 minutes into the Challenge, Phil had easily finished 1/2 of the 4lb. burrito. With 5 minutes to go, all the guest in the dining area, started to cheer him on. He maintained a pretty good speed and managed to finish the entire thing, plus gobble down the peach cobbler. He did it! With 2 and half minutes to spare, he did it!

Way to go, Phil! You’ll forever be the first to conquer the BBQ Republic Burrito Challenge. Phil won himself a $50 Gift Card and his photo will live on in our Challenge Wall of Fame.
